At JDM Farms, owner Jeff Morgan sought out grape and olive varietals suited to the Dunnigan Hills climate and soils, and alongside vineyard manager Sergio Villanueva, turned raw acreage into a thriving organic estate.
The fruit they grow together has earned the trust of winemakers and oil millers across California — and a select portion is reserved for the JDM Estate label.

Great wine doesn't begin at harvest — it begins years earlier, in the decisions made about soil, water, and light. At Windmill Vineyard, every choice reflects a single conviction: healthy land produces honest fruit.
We farm certified organic, tested annually. No synthetic chemicals. No GMOs. No reactive spraying. Instead, we prevent problems before they start: daily vine inspections, organic pest solutions, natural biodiversity as our first line of defense.

Sergio Villanueva leads our farming crew with the kind of attention that comes from decades in the field. His team prunes every vine by hand, monitors pests daily, and harvests under night skies to protect the fruit at its coolest. Clusters are thinned for quality over yield. Canopies are managed vine by vine for the right balance of sunlight and airflow.

Our olives are harvested and milled within hours — preserving the bold flavors and phenolic compounds that have earned our oils multiple gold medals and best-of-class awards worldwide.
A healthy vineyard is a living system. Frogs chorus at dusk. Doves nest in the olive rows. Cover crops feed the soil between the vines. We farm the whole ecosystem, not just the crop — no hunting, no herbicides, no extractive practices. Just care, balance, and time.
Winemakers and our local Woodland neighbors know our farm as Windmill Vineyard, which is located in the Dunnigan Hills American Viticultural Area (AVA).
