JDM Estate began as a vision: to steward the land and grow the best fruit possible.
At JDM Farms, owner and proprietor Jeff Morgan searched out the best varietals to grow in our organic soil and in collaboration with Sergio Villanueva, turned them into a thriving organic estate.
Together, Jeff and Sergio have nurtured a vineyard that produces fruit as expressive as it is exceptional—grapes and olives prized by discerning winemakers and oil millers throughout California.
At JDM Estate, we believe the path to great wine and olive oil begins with our care and respect for the land. That’s why we farm organically, with patience, precision, and care. Every vine, every olive tree, is tended by hand. Every decision is made with respect for the natural rhythms of the farm.
The fruit we grow is a reflection of this commitment. It’s why our collaborators return vintage after vintage—and why we bottle a select line of wines and oils under the JDM name. Each product is handcrafted with the same care we give the vineyard itself. It’s a difference you can taste in every bottle we produce. Because when the land gives you its best, you give your best in return.

At JDM Estate, we believe great wine and olive oil start long before harvest—they begin with respect for the land. Everything we grow is rooted in our certified organic Windmill Vineyard, located in the Dunnigan Hills of Yolo County, California. Our approach to farming is defined by intention, precision, and integrity.
We don’t cut corners. From soil to bottle, every decision is made with long-term health and flavor in mind—not just for our crops, but for the environment and the people who enjoy what we grow. Our vineyard and orchard are farmed using organic-approved methods, with no synthetic chemicals, no shortcuts, and no compromises. Our farm is tested annually to maintain certification.

Sergio Villanueva, our Viticulture Manager, leads our farming team with an obsessive attention to detail. He and his crew prune by hand, monitor pests daily, and harvest under night skies to protect the fruit’s integrity. Clusters are droppedthinned to ensure quality over quantity, with grape and olive vines carefully managed for optimal sunlight, air circulation, and flavor development.
We prevent problems before they start because we know that once a vine is unhealthy, it’s too late. That’s why our team walks the vineyard daily, checking for early signs of pests and treating them with organic solutions and natural biodiversity rather than reactive chemicals.

Our olives are harvested and milled within hours, preserving the robust flavors and phenols that earned our oils multiple gold medals and best-of-class awards worldwide.
We believe that a healthy vineyard is alive, and so is the land we steward. From frogs, doves, and rabbits to the soil microbes we feed with compost and cover crops, we farm with the entire ecosystem in mind. No hunting, no herbicides, no extractive practices; just care, balance, and a commitment to doing what’s best for the soil and the fruit.
Winemakers and our local Woodland neighbors know our farm as Windmill Vineyard, which is located in the Dunnigan Hills American Viticultural Area (AVA).
